What is Ultrahibernation/Suspension?

To Ultrahibernate or suspend is to reversibly pause an animal or person at very cold temperatures. If you get a disease which is going to kill you, Ultrahibernation could become the 'ultimate life insurance' to keep you safe until there is a fix for your problem. That fix could be as few as 5 years later at the present rate of progress.

This site has a single long term goal - to make Ultrahibernation/Suspension as safe as a general anaesthetic, within 10 years. Before Ultrahibernation can even be considered for a person however, many things have first to be proven. This site is devoted firstly therefore to the idea that we should immediately setup a prize for pausing a small mammal.

To do this, this site is simply designed to be a focus point for planning and funding to cause Ultrahibernation/ Reversible Suspension to become viable. To bring this goal to fruition, we need to form a group of like-minded people (like you!) who are interested in helping think about planning the steps that are needed, AND then following them to completion.
